Cache County Fair and Rodeo

We LOVE the county fair!  Last summer we missed it, so we made certain to fit it into our schedule this year. On Saturday, the 13th, we loaded Maggie up in the stroller with lots of bottled water and walked ourselves to the transit center and got on the shuttle county shuttle.  Here's a little bit of our day in a nutshell.

What's a county fair without lots of crazy fried foods?  We usually try to stay away from greasy fried foods, but  we never can pass up the once-a-year chance to chow down on the deep fried Oreos.  Yummy!
We spent our time walking around and checking out all the vendors and the barns full of homemade items/photographs that people submitted for the fair.  It was fun to see all those that received ribbons for their works.

After checking all that out, we went to the barns and checked out all the prize winning animals.  I honestly have no idea how they judge all the livestock, but we like to see who wins anyway.
We especially liked the pigs because Maggie has learned how to impersonate one.
There were some crazy looking chickens/roosters
I think Maggie was a little weirded out by them all
After seeing everything that could possibly be seen at the fair, we headed back to the shuttle stop so that we could get ourselves some lunch/dinner before going back for the rodeo.

Spencer and Maggie waiting for the shuttle.  Maggie was still impersonating the pigs :)

After a little relaxing time and getting some food, we headed back to the shuttle for the RODEO!
Until last year, Spencer had never been to a rodeo, but now we have a hard time missing them when they come around.
When we went to the rodeo in Pleasant Grove, Maggie wasn't too fond of staying for the whole thing - but this year she was great!
Look at that happy face!  Maybe we can break her in yet....
Anyway - I LOVE having fun and free things to do all day.  Granted, the rodeo wasn't free and neither were the fried oreos, but it was totally worth the entertainment we got.  Good Day!

  2. Oh I miss Rodeos! They are my favorite. Those videos down below are so cute. James never know what to do in his jumper. H just felt confined in it. It is fun to see that Maggie has gotten the hang of it so quickly. I've heard those are life savers. If you thought that a lot happened from 4 to 6 months, just wait for the next 3. So much more is going to happen. It is so fun! have you guys found a job yet? What the progress? Hope all is well. Cheers from Scotland!
